The Gentle Return: A Guided Visualization of Your Future Life
This week in my money mindset group, I led one of my favorite visualizations an invitation to return to your inner sanctuary and meet the version of you who already has what you’re believing for. This wasn’t just about manifesting more money; it was about remembering what safety, abundance, and belonging feel like.
I guided the group through a meditation that began in a soft, sacred space, maybe a field, a home, a forest, and invited them to explore, name, and dwell in it. What came next was stunning.
Women saw their future homes. Some met children they hadn’t yet conceived. One saw her future husband sitting beside her on a porch. Another wept as she felt, for the first time in years, completely safe.
I created this version of the meditation for you. Whether you’re calling in a new chapter of wealth, rest, or love, this is your gentle return.
GUIDED VISUALIZATION: YOUR FUTURE SANCTUARY
Before you begin:
Find a quiet space where you can sit or lie down without interruption. You may want to have a journal nearby to write down what you see or feel afterward.
Let’s begin.
Close your eyes.
Place one hand on your heart, the other on your belly.
Breathe in gently through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Again.
Inhale peace…
Exhale pressure.
As you continue breathing slowly and deeply, imagine yourself walking…
The ground beneath you is soft.
The light is gentle.
You are safe.
You begin to notice your surroundings.
Are you in a meadow? A cozy cottage? A seaside cabin?
Wherever you are, it’s yours. You created it.
This space holds no fear. No shame. No rush.
Just peace.
Now, I want you to walk deeper into this space.
Explore the rooms…
Touch the walls…
Smell the air.
Is there a fireplace? A garden?
A chair that fits your body just right?
Find your favorite spot in this space.
A place where you could rest for hours.
When you find it, take a moment.
Breathe there.
Feel yourself fully arrive.
Now, give this space a name.
Whatever comes to mind, go with it.
This is your sanctuary. Your place of return.
Someone is approaching.
You don’t feel afraid. You feel at peace.
You know this person.
Maybe it’s your future self.
Maybe it’s someone you love deeply.
They sit with you.
What do they say?
How do you feel in their presence?
Take a moment to receive the love, the wisdom, the calm.
You’re safe here.
You’re worthy of this.
Now, slowly, begin to return to your breath.
Feel your hands on your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
Breathe in one more time.
And when you’re ready, gently open your eyes.
Journal prompts (optional):
• What did your sanctuary look and feel like?
• Who showed up to meet you?
• What did they say?
• How did this experience make you feel about your next season?
I return to this visualization often, especially when I feel rushed, fearful, or disconnected from trust.
Remember: You don’t have to “earn” stillness. You don’t have to hustle for your future. You have to return to it gently.
